Truth and the Devil

I consider myself an open-minded person. I try not to pre-judge things and I am willing to change my mind about my own opinions if I find new and compelling evidence. I am skeptical of the claims of all major religions, not based upon anything I might wish to be true about them, but rather what seems to be the case based on an objective analysis of the facts. However, some people might accuse me of not being as open-minded as I profess based upon my collection of books. Of the books that I have read, very few are from an explicitly Christian perspective, which might prompt some to claim that I am biased or only willing to read things that already reinforce my pre-concieved views.

If you can get through this video without feeling like you’re going to throw up, I applaud you. Especially when he talks about the families of dead soldiers.

I need to write more.

I probably picked a rather poor time in my life to start a blog. I just finished up my college degree and now I’m working on doing freelance design work. Needless to say, my free time has been cut short, and that certainly puts writing a blog on the back burner.

As far as I can tell, comments should now be working, as should the contact form.

If anyone is wondering about the name of this website, I’ve updated the ‘about’ page of the site with a full description:

The name Truth and the Devil is inspired by the story of temptation by the serpent and the pursuit of knowledge in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were told by God not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil for they would surely die. The serpent told them that their eyes would be opened. The serpent was right.

I’m aware there’s a problem with the comments on the site. Despite the ‘Internal Server Error’ message, the comments do get through.

Welcome to Truth and the Devil, everyone. I hope the new site design is pleasing. I find it more organized, engaging and easier to navigate. I’m particularly fond of the new logo.

Hopefully you’ll see some new activity in the coming days and weeks. Also beware of subtle changes that might continue be made as I work out any bugs.

I don’t know if Christianity particularly attracts homosexuals, I doubt it since they are a relevant minority throughout the planet’s population What is obvious, however, is how problematic it is for Christian beliefs to be reconciled with the real world.
Several more Evangelical Christian leaders have been ousted from their religious positions for engaging in homosexual acts, or as they put it, “sexual immorality.”
